THE ART INSTITUTES CULINARY SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Announcing The Art Institutes Culinary Scholarship Competition. This spring, for the first time ever, The International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes is offering an opportunity for high school graduates across North America interested in pursuing a culinary career to experience the excitement and discipline of the industry creativity, and earn a tuition scholarship.

Winning entrants will participate in a Local Cook-Off Competition at each participating Art Institute judged by professional chefs and Art Institute culinary faculty. Each participating Art Institute will award a Gold Medal Winner, who will earn a $1,500 tuition scholarship toward a culinary program at that school. Local Cook-Off Competitions will be held on or around April 21, 2012.*

* Certain participating Art Institutes schools may hold their Local Cook-Off Competition on a different date. Any such date changes will be announced to selected entrants as soon as reasonably possible.

Be sure to read the Official Rules for complete entry requirements. The deadline for initial entries for the completion is February 3rd, 2012 by mail.

Deadline for initial entries: February 3, 2012

Once you have submitted your initial entry, you have until February 24th, 2012 to finalize your entry. The following materials must be submitted to the same school you submitted your initial entry form:

  • Download and complete our Standardized Recipe Form and complete the form by adding your favorite recipe.
  • Add original photo of your favorite recipe prepared (optional).
  • Include a copy of your high school transcript.
  • Write a short essay (maximum of 250 words) legibly handwritten or typed in English about why you want to study culinary at The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes.
  • This package of materials must be received by the school you have chosen no later than FEBRUARY 24th, 2012
